Creating

Yesterday Gemma and I spent some time in the back room creating. I guess your could call it a studio. It's a room with great light that is dedicated to my (and Gemma's) artistic endeavors, Matt's musical instruaments, with the computer thrown in. It's also the favored room for homework. We spend a lot of time there, even the cats. It's actually my favorite room in the house. One of these days I should share some pictures of it. Anyway, as I was saying, Gem and I were creating, and I couldn't help but notice all of the red. Perfect!

Gemma was making Valentines for her classmates.

I was painting.

I painted this. You can see more of it here.

I also painted these little clay mushrooms that I made a few weeks ago that had been sitting patiently on my desk awaiting the day I would get around to finishing them.

I might make some more and paint tiny little doors and windows on them so they look like fairy houses.

Then I did a little photo shoot with my mushrooms. I found the perfect paper for a back drop, it looks like they are growing in a forest.
I was really pleased with how they turned out. The red ones are my favorites.
